Joining the lab

We are actively recruiting highly motivated graduate students, postdocs, and research assistants to join our lab.

Prospective PhD students

Prospective PhD students should apply for the PhD program in Cognitive Science or Computer Science at Johns Hopkins University. Please note that Jenn generally does not comment on applications outside of the official review process.

If you would like help preparing your application, consider the PhD Application Mentorship program. This program is run by current graduate students and postdocs at Johns Hopkins, with the goal of supporting first-generation and URM scholars. Details will be available during the next application cycle.

Prospective postdocs

Please contact Jenn with your CV, a description of your specific research interests, and any plans for applying for external funding.

Postdocs are highly encouraged to seek out funding opportunities, such as the Data Science and AI fellowship at Johns Hopkins.

Prospective masters students

Prospective masters students should apply for the MA program in Cognitive Science at Johns Hopkins University. Please note that Jenn generally does not comment on applications outside of the official review process.

Prospective research assistants (RAs)

Please contact Jenn with your CV, a description of your specific research interests, and what you would like to do in the lab. Hopkins undergraduates may receive credit for on- or off-campus independent academic work (IAW) or be paid, but not both. See this page for more details.

Opportunities for non-Hopkins RAs are highly limited, but we may be able to support exceptional cases.
